With more than 16 years of clinical experience, Dr. Nourhan Mekawy is a dedicated and compassionate dentist serving the Westbury, New York community at MY Dental and Aesthetics. Since founding the practice in 2011, Dr. Mekawy has remained committed to delivering patient-centered care, helping individuals achieve and maintain optimal oral health.


Education and Training


Dr. Mekawy earned her undergraduate degree from Alexandria University in Egypt. She subsequently completed an advanced dental residency at New York University in New York City, with a concentration in full-mouth rehabilitation, cosmetic dentistry, and implant dentistry, before obtaining her doctorate of dental surgery from the NYU College of Dentistry.

Outside of her professional practice, Dr. Mekawy values spending quality time with her family, who share a collective commitment to service within the medical, dental, and professional fields. Her husband, Dr. Hossam Yassin, is an internist, and her daughter, Nadeen, is currently enrolled at the NYU College of Dentistry, with plans to join the practice upon completion of her doctoral degree. Her son, Mohab, is completing his bachelor’s degree at Hofstra University and aspires to support the family practice in an accounting capacity. 


She is fluent in English and Arabic, allowing her to provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population
